Anh Hong is an amazing addition to the Richmond area and SF food scene in general! We definitely need more DIY Vietnamese spring roll restaurants around the SF Bay Area. The restaurant isn't massive, but it's quite comfortable. Be prepared for a wait if you're coming here during peak hours. Once you're seated, you'll see that the spring roll wrappers and all the veggies are laid out for you. All you need to do is order whatever appetizers and proteins you want to put in your spring rolls. Then, once you order, it's totally up to you to wrap your own rolls! Food quality is great. All the vegetables are fresh, proteins taste great, and even the service is pretty on-point. Will definitely be coming back soon!

The restaurant has relocated from Geary in the Tenderloin. They no longer offer the 7 course beef but keeps the same items on the menu minus the beef fondue. The food is still good with better ambience and the waitstaff were attentive and professional.

Came at around 7:30 pm on a Saturday and someone from our party made a reservation for our table of 5. The restaurant is very clean and modern, with lots of dark wood bearings. Their menu mainly focused on the different meats you could order and they provided you with all the ingredients you need to make spring rolls. Beef Salad - It was very refreshing and light with a lot of vegetables. Came with shrimp chips that you could add the salad on top of or you could eat it on its own. Egg Rolls - This was one of my favorites from the night. It was crispy and packed with flavor from the meat and seasonings inside. A little more heavy so it went nicely with all the other fresh ingredients I added into my spring roll. Shrimp Rolls on Sugarcane - Super soft and the being wrapped around the sugarcane added a mild sweetness to it. Grilled Beef with Lemongrass and Onion - A little more tough to bite through than the others but it had a nice smoky flavor to it. The lemongrass came through and the onion was a good crunchy element in it. We also ordered meat that wasn't listed on the menu and it came with a mini soup hot pot that we had to cook it in. The meat had nice marbling and it was so soft and tender, melted in my mouth. All the ingredients they provided were so fresh and more than enough for everyone. A super fun place to go with friends or a bigger group if you want to make some spring rolls together!

My first time at Anh Hong was yearsssss ago when they were located at the Tenderloin. Fast forward to now, this new location is a lot safer, quieter, and the food is still good. If you haven't had 7 course beef, you deserve 7 fingers in the face; one hand slap and two fingers up the nostrils. Boo-yah. I made reservations for a Friday and was seated at a large table. This location is a lot smaller but I'm ok with that, more intimate that way, giggity giggity. Beef Carpaccio - fresh, lots of flavor Beef in Hawaiian leaf - one of my favs. My mama makes this and it warms my soul Grilled BBQ Chicken - nicely cooked, lots of flavor Wonton Noodle Soup - steamed wontons not fried in delicious broth Most of the dishes came with rice noodle squares which we absolutely loved. We also enjoyed wrapping our own rolls, customizing it they way we like it. Great food, great service. We were last to leave the restaurant, cheers to the owner for the nice treat at the end of the shift =)

You've kbbq and hot pot, but have you heard of DIY spring rolls?! We stopped by Anh Hong for a late Valentine's Day dinner and were very pleased! I think AH is not only a fun experience but also delicious! I definitely recommend making reservations because AH is always poppin with customers! We had a reservation at 7pm on a Saturday night and waited for about 20mins before we were seated. We ordered the beef carpaccio, nem neung, shrimp in sugarcane and beef in Hawaiian leaf and everything was a little salty for us, but SOOOO DELICIOUS! Definitely stop by AH if you're not looking for pho, but rather looking for good food and an opportunity to converse and engage with your guest.

Delicious, fresh Vietnamese style spring rolls that are perfect for family style. It's different from other Vietnamese restaurants that primarily service noodle or rice dishes. This place serves different proteins as "Main Courses", and you wrap them up with different vegetables and rice papers to make spring rolls. I came here with 2 other people and we made the mistake of ordering 3 main course items and 2 appetizers. Although we were starving, we had ordered WAY too much because their portion sizes here are huge. I think 2-3 dishes would've been enough for us to still have a filling meal, but I have no regrets because everything was super tasty. Definitely try their beef carpaccio (I want to come back again soon just for this) and the grilled beef wrapped in hawaiian leaf.

Visiting from Las Vegas and was VERY pleased! I wish more places in Vegas catered to spring rolls like this. I loved the decoration for the name, it had corks. I thought it was an elegant touch. We had a party of 12 and received prompt service! We reserved a table and were seated and instantly served. Staff was nice and tentative but my biggest drawback is that some of the staff were a bit clumsy placing the plates so a lot of our teas were spilled. We had the beef carpaccio and it was DELICIOUS! (No photos present of the food bc I was just too impatient lmao)

My friends always roll their eyes when I suggest going to a restaurant where you roll your own spring roll, because we could always just do it at home (in theory). Glad I was finally able to persuade them into trying Anh Hong though! The sign in front says "No Pho" as a testament to sticking to what they're known for- spring rolls. Located in the outer Richmond, it's a far trek from my side of the city. Parking is all residential, and there's only one restroom. They don't have a functional website, and they recommend making a reservation over the phone. They don't have any electronic waitlist systems. We surprisingly got full off of spring rolls alone... what seemed to me to be an appetizer are mighty vehicles for meat and carbs. We ordered the Grilled Pork with rice noodle squares, and the Shrimp Rolls on a Sugar Cane with rice noodle squares. These come with the rice papers, cilantro, mint, beansprouts, pickled carrots and daikon, and lettuce. The servers just drop off the food and go about their days, but thankfully I went with a friend who was a pro and showed us the proper technique of wrapping spring rolls!

Wow! This place is really unique! This is a Vietnamese restaurant. They primarily serve spring rolls!! They have no pho. I was recommended this place by a close friend and was so excited to try! We ordered the following: Water prawns: one order of this comes with two prawns. We were amazed at how large the prawns were. They were extremely flavorful and delicious! They came alongside rice noodles squares. 5/5 Grilled pork: this was also one of our faves! The pork was cooked perfectly and seasonings paired well. I loved wrapping my spring rolls with the grilled pork. It had a sweet flavor. 5/5 Beef wrapped in Hawaiian leaf: we were recommended this protein by the waitress. It was a really unique dish as my bf and i really enjoyed the Hawaiian leaf. We thought it paired well with the beef! 5/5 Beef carpaccio: this was an appetizer and we were told this was one of their most popular dish! I was impressed by the portion size. Flavors were good too. 5/5 At the start of the meal they give you a large place of veggies to put in your spring roll. Overall i think this was a unique dining experience as you make your own spring rolls based on the meats you order. This location is kinda tucked away from the busy street which i loved. The place was also packed! All the waiters were extremely friendly. We will for sure be back!
